Acrylic Painting Fundamentals Workshop
Workshop Description
This workshop teaches the fundamentals of acrylic painting. The focus is on tone and tint to convey shadow and light. Working from photographs, students will learn the gridding technique to paint what they see in their photo.
Photos that are best for this are high contrast portraits. Think about using a picture of people, plants, buildings, or animals. We can make any photo work, though.
Students will work from a black and white photo for their first painting. Once that project is complete a color photo for the second painting can be used. Students work at their own pace, so not all will have time to create a second painting while others may be able to create more than two paintings.
This workshop is also wonderful for other personal acrylic paint and mixed media projects. Feel free to reach out to discuss your project to see if this course is a good fit for your needs.
Workshop can be taken multiple times to gain experience, and to continue to hone skills.
If you cannot attend all classes a prorated option is available.

A box with your supplies will be given to you during the first class. Those supplies are yours to use for the 5 weeks of our class. Supplies must be returned on the last day of class. If any supplies are lost or broken you will be billed at the end of the 5 week class.
This workshop is limited to ages 13 and over. If a student isn’t mature enough to keep from disrupting the class they will be asked to leave and no refund will be issued (this rule applies to all ages).
There's a lot of opportunities to socialize during class, but the environment will be kept comfortable and fun for everyone.
Feel free to bring any food or drinks you'd like. There's snacks that can be purchased during class, and beverages are available.
We're a small business (basically a one woman show) and we're dedicated to doing everything we can to give you a creative and artistic experience. We do not give refunds, but we do issue codes for another class if your cancellation meets our policy rules.
