Sip and Paint

- A boutique art experience -

During classes paintings are broken down step by step. You truly don't need any experience to follow along and yield great results.

At Dawning’s Art we encourage students to push their limits while having light hearted fun. We promote a stress free experience. Our classes are 2-3 hours long, and creative fun is what we’re all about.

About Dawning’s Art Studio:

In August of 2020 Dawning purchased the Gearhart property and moved her parents into the main house. Dawning and her husband began their move to the beach a few months after. Construction was quickly underway!

The studio is up and running while completing the finishing touches. Visit often to see Dawning’s progress! She begins mural work in August of 2021. It’s a fascinating process.

The property is on the East side of Hwy 101 on Oster Rd just as you enter Gearhart from Seaside. It is tucked back on a secluded street near the Seaside Airport. The closest neighbors are cows, they’re very sweet.

The beach is only a couple miles away from Dawning’s Art Studio, and provides miles of beach driving access with flat sand to drive on. You can drive all the up to the Wreck of the Peter Iredale at Fort Stevens State park, which is a fun photo opp (4×4 or all wheel drive suggested, but not always needed).

Dawning’s Art is also very close to Seaside and the tons of food and attractions there. Cannon Beach and Astoria also have a lot going on!

About Van Duzer Vineyards:

Proprietors Carl and Marilynn Thoma were among the first to choose the foothills at the mouth of the Van Duzer Corridor to create their family estate in 1998, intrigued by the potential of the microclimate and its ability to produce evocative Pinot Noir. Perched atop a knoll surrounded by vines on three sides, the site is situated in the gateway of the Corridor, a deep gap in the Oregon Coastal Range that draws brisk air from the Pacific Ocean into the Willamette Valley. The flagship estate’s 83.7 planted acres are in the direct path of marine winds, and benefit from the cooling gusts that moderate the temperatures over the vineyard, guaranteeing a long, beneficial growing season year after year.

Dawning’s Art brings sip and  paint fun to Van Duzer during the warmer months of the year. Join a class, you’ll love the location and view
